ATLAS HAS INSTALLED PCS (PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM)

Atlas has installed PCS (Production Control System) from KIWIPLAN at the Severn, MD plant. This product works with the currently installed KIWIPLAN product CSC to provide real time on line data for improved scheduling and visibility. Benefits include:

• Increase in throughput
• Decrease in WIP and FNG inventory
• Reduced operating costs
• Continuous scheduling solutions for the plant based on current data from order entry, production, and shipping.

This product also enhances Atlas focus on LEAN manufacturing by providing a visual planning board that every employee in the company sees. It shows in bottleneck sequence every machine and every order on each machine. Each order is color coded indicating projected completion against due date and time.
