Company Overview & Trust

What does Atlas Container do?

Atlas Container is an independent corrugated packaging manufacturer in Severn, Maryland. We design and make custom corrugated boxes, die-cut packaging, POP displays, bulk bins, triple wall packaging, and moisture resistant food packaging. We also handle design, printing, and fulfillment in-house.

What industries does Atlas Container serve?

We serve food and beverage, agriculture, horticulture, consumer goods, e-commerce, health and beauty, industrial, electronics, medical devices, cannabis, and government. Food and beverage is our largest market. See all the industries we serve.

What areas does Atlas Container serve?

We serve the Mid-Atlantic, including Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Our own trucks deliver from our facilities in Severn and Baltimore, Maryland, and Vineland, New Jersey.

How long has Atlas Container been in business?

We have made corrugated packaging since 1968. Brothers Peter and Paul Centenari later bought the company and grew it by acquiring other regional box makers. Learn more about our history.

What certifications does Atlas Container hold?

We source board through responsible forestry programs, including FSC and SFI. Our moisture resistant board meets FDA requirements for direct food contact.

Quoting & Pricing

What do I need to provide to get a quote from Atlas Container?

Send us your box style, inside dimensions (or a sample), product weight, printing needs, annual usage, and delivery address. If you do not have all of these details yet, our team can help you work them out. Request a quote.

How long does it take to get a quote from Atlas Container?

Quotes for standard boxes are ready in less than 24 hours. Specialty projects take 24 to 72 hours, depending on complexity. Request a quote.

How does Atlas Container price its work?

Pricing depends on box size, board grade, printing, quantity, tooling, and delivery. We also look for ways to lower your total packaging cost, such as right-sizing boxes or changing board grades. A free packaging audit is a good place to start. You can also read our guide to packaging costs.

Are there upfront costs like tooling or setup fees?

Printed or die-cut boxes usually need one-time tooling, such as printing plates or cutting dies. Plain boxes often do not. If you already have quality tooling from another supplier, we can often transfer it, so you do not pay for new tooling.

Does Atlas Container have minimum order requirements?

Our minimum order is about 250 pieces, depending on the item. Our mini die cutter lets us run smaller die-cut orders than most plants in the region.

Lead Times & Order Management

What are Atlas Container's typical lead times?

Standard orders ship in 4 to 7 business days. First orders that need new tooling take 8 to 10 business days. Triple wall ships in 3 to 4 weeks, compared with the industry average of 6 to 12 weeks.

What affects lead time at Atlas Container?

Lead time depends on new tooling, sample approval, board availability, print complexity, and order size. Unlike larger corrugated manufacturers, we do not push your order back to fit our own production schedule.

Can Atlas Container accommodate rush orders?

Yes. We keep room in our schedule for rush orders and add shifts when needed. Replacement boxes for quality issues can ship within 24 hours.

Does Atlas Container support blanket orders or scheduled releases?

Yes. Blanket purchase orders lock in your pricing and quantities, and we release product on the schedule you set.

Can I get a sample or prototype before committing to a full run?

Yes. Our design team makes a sample for every project, including large-format samples for triple wall and bulk bins.
