Atlas Container has been a leading corrugated box company since its founding in 1968. The company was later purchased by brothers Peter and Paul Centenari. Under their leadership, the company grew by acquiring other corrugated box companies throughout the region, bringing in new customers, experienced employees, and additional capabilities. Many of those acquisitions created stronger customer relationships, expanded regional reach, and a more capable independent corrugated box company.

Growth Brings Expanded Capabilities

As Atlas grew, the company consolidated its growth into a stronger manufacturing footprint. Its Severn, Maryland facility became the center of the operation, supported by continued investment in equipment, people, and process improvement. This growth has allowed us to offer a wide range of services to support our customers’ needs, including:

  • Corrugated manufacturing & converting (single and double wall manufacturing, triple wall conversion)
  • High-speed flexo printing, die cutting, folding, gluing, and stitching
  • In-house packaging design and structural engineering
  • Sampling and prototyping (CAD tables for cut-only samples, including large formats)
  • Moisture Resistant Board (MRB) solutions
  • Fulfillment, kitting, and assembly
  • Warehousing and stocking programs with rapid regional delivery

The result is a corrugated box company that looks very different from the business the Centenari brothers purchased, with a broader customer base, more advanced equipment, and greater production flexibility, while still operating with the direct, regional focus of an independent manufacturer.
